Chrystal Clodomir and Srikanth Reddy will teach Legal Method & Communication courses to students in the Class of 2023 as visiting professors for the upcoming academic year.
Elon Law’s Legal Method & Communication Program will welcome two new educators this summer as visiting professors for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Visiting Assistant Professors Chrystal Clodomir and Srikanth Reddy are joining a legal writing program ranked in the top 20% among law schools in the most recent edition of the U.S. News & World Report’s annual Best Graduate Schools guidebook.
“The practice experience that Professors Clodomir and Reddy will bring to their teaching is impressive in its own right, but what makes both of our new faculty members truly remarkable is their passion and commitment to mentoring law students who will one day be their colleagues in the profession,” said Elon Law Dean Luke Bierman. “Our students will be better lawyers because of the energy that both new professors readily offer our ‘law school with a difference.’”
About the New Professors
Chrystal Clodomir currently manages a solo practice in Greensboro, Clodomir Law Firm, where she serves parents and children in a variety of family and education matters. She also teaches courses in the paralegal program at Guilford Technical Community College and has worked for local governments as a soft skills trainer in various public agencies.
A graduate of Rutgers University and Cornell University School of Law, Clodomir practiced criminal law in New York and education law in Delaware prior to joining the legal staff of the Children’s Law Center of Central North Carolina in 2018.
“I am thrilled to be joining the LMC program this year at Elon Law. What I love about Elon Law is its commitment to innovation in legal education,” she said. “I hope to empower our students with practical real-world perspectives so that they can discover that legal writing is more than just an academic exercise. It is an effective advocacy skill that can change lives and improve communities and I am honored to be able to serve in this role.”
Srikanth Reddy comes to Elon Law with extensive legal writing experience as a staff attorney for both the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and for the Seventh Circuit, and as an attorney-advisor with the U.S. Department of Labor Benefits Review Board. In those roles, he wrote memos and drafted opinions for judges on a broad range of civil, criminal, and administrative appeals. He also has taught advocacy as an adjunct professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
Reddy graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and the George Washington University Law School where he was a member of The George Washington International Law Review. He started his career as a reporter for newspapers in California and New York prior to attending law school.
“I’m excited to join Elon Law this year as a visiting assistant professor. I look forward to learning from my colleagues in the LMC program,” Reddy said. “And I’m eager to use my experience as an attorney to help Elon students prepare themselves for their careers in the law.”
